ITW have today announced the launch of their new, ultra rugged Request to Exit (REX) switch range featuring the patented ActiveTouch technology with a field programmable hold-open time.
Available in either illuminated or non-illuminated format.
Illumination can indicate an open relay / unlocked door with a green or red LED which can be controlled internally or by an external access control board.

All ActiveMetal™ switches are dustproof and waterproof (IP68), shock, vibration, and vandal resistant. They are offered in 5VDC or 10V-24VDC input voltages and digital or open collector outputs. The output can be momentary or latching. The switches are available in 19mm, 22mm, and 30mm mounting diameters and fit panel thicknesses ranging from 0.762mm (0.030 in.) to 12.70mm (0.500 in.).
